This privacy notice explains how Barrington Logistical Services Ltd ("BLS", "we", "us", "our") collects and uses personal data submitted through our European Transport Estimate enquiry form, in line with UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018.

What data we collect
When you use the enquiry form, we may collect:
- Your name, email address and (if provided) telephone number
- Collection and delivery postcodes/locations
- Details of the item(s) you wish to transport, including weight, dimensions, declared value and description
- Photo(s) of the item(s) pre-packed and as packed, if supplied
How we use your data
Your data is used solely for the purpose of responding to your enquiry and providing you with a transport estimate or bespoke quotation. We do not use it for marketing, profiling, or any other purpose, and we do not sell or rent your data to third parties.
The legal basis for this processing is our legitimate interest in responding to enquiries you have voluntarily submitted to us, and/or the taking of steps at your request prior to entering into a contract with us (UK GDPR Article 6(1)(b) and 6(1)(f)).
Who we share it with
We use a small number of trusted service providers ("processors") to operate this form. Each only receives the minimum data needed to perform its function:

Some of these providers may process data on servers located outside the UK/EEA. Where this happens, they do so under appropriate safeguards (such as the EU-US Data Privacy Framework or Standard Contractual Clauses) as required by UK GDPR.
How long we keep it
We retain enquiry data for as long as reasonably necessary to respond to your enquiry and handle any follow-up, and no longer than 12 months afterwards, unless we are required to keep it longer for legal, accounting, or dispute-resolution purposes (for example, a completed and paid job kept for accounting records). This is enforced automatically: an internal process runs daily and removes personal details from enquiries older than 12 months that don't need to be kept longer for those reasons. If you ask us to delete your enquiry before then, we do so within 30 days.
Cookies and similar technologies
This site does not use tracking or advertising cookies. The Cloudflare Turnstile spam-protection check may set a minimal, short-lived cookie or use similar local browser storage purely to verify you are not an automated bot; it does not track you across other websites.
Your rights
Under UK GDPR, you have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you
- Request correction of inaccurate data
- Request deletion of your data
- Restrict or object to our processing of your data
- Request a copy of your data in a portable format

Changes to this policy
We may update this privacy notice from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date above.
